Professor Gary Johnson
Gary L. Johnson, PhD is Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Co-Director of the Program in Molecular Therapeutics for the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at UNC-CH. As a translational basic scientist his research focuses on understanding the behavior of the kinome en masse and how it becomes dysregulated in human disease. His laboratory has developed chemical proteomics methods that allows measurement of the activation state of the kinome in preclinical models as well as patient clinical trials. He is particularly interested in the interface of kinome dynamics and chromatin regulation in cancer.
