Professor Elinor Sawyer
Professor Elinor Sawyer is a Clinical Oncologist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College London, specialising in the treatment of breast cancer. Her research interests are genetic predisposition to breast cancer particularly lobular breast cancer and DCIS, and identification of biomarkers that predict progression of LCIS and DCIS.
Professor Sawyer studied medicine at UCL and trained in oncology at the Middlesex, Royal Free and St Thomas’ Hospitals. She undertook a PhD in Molecular and Population Genetics under the supervision of Professor Ian Tomlinson at the London Research institute, Cancer Research UK.
