Dr Mark Verrill
Mark Verrill is Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne. He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1999 having undertaken his studies in Cambridge (pre-clinical) and University College London (clinical). He undertook specialist training in Medical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research, where he developed his interests in Breast Cancer and Soft Tissue Sarcoma. Mark was appointed as Cancer Research Campaign Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medical Oncology in Newcastle University in 1999, moving into the NHS in 2007. Mark is an active in clinical research with an extensive breast trial portfolio in NCCC and numerous publications resulting from clinical studies.
